The association “ÎMPREUNĂ PENTRU BLĂNOȘI” is a non-profit organization, established in September 2022. The association’s members are volunteers brought together by their love for animals and nature. We set off animated by good thoughts, some left, others stayed, new friends joined us and together we share the same big dream: a better world, with people who respect all forms of life!
“ÎMPREUNĂ PENTRU BLĂNOȘI” is represented by Blajan Laura Diana – president, Mureșan Ioana and Negrea Clara – vice-presidents.
The association is headquartered in Blajel village, Blajel commune, Tudor Vladimirescu str. no. 60, CIF 46828576, account RO07 BTRL RONCRT 0649735601 opened at Banca Transilvania,Mediaș.
Through the association, we undertake awareness and education activities, but especially practical actions, intervention in the case of animals that urgently need help:
- recovery, accommodation, sterilization, vaccination of abandoned animals until they can be placed in families;
- promoting pet adoptions, rather than buying them;
- sterilization and treatment of pets for people who cannot afford these interventions;
- prevention of abandonment and cruelty to animals through awareness and education campaigns in kindergartens and schools;
- collaboration with the public shelter to promote adoptions and avoid euthanasia of healthy animals;
- interventions in cases of accidents, by rescuing and treating animals;
- following legislative projects to ensure a correct direction regarding the management of stray animals;
- consultations with the competent authorities for an optimal management of pets (ANSVSA, Medias City Hall, Sibiu Animal Police)
We are mainly focused on the stray dogs’ situation. A help, small at first sight, but which increased the prestige of our work, is offered by the community through the direct support received from the people whose animals we treated and sterilized. Slowly but surely, this kind of work has led to a change in mindset in our city regarding stray dogs. And because we want the change to continue, we will do everything in our power to make it happen!
OUR MISSION
Our greatest desire is to have a shelter for the animals that end up in our care, that’s why all our efforts go in this direction. We are trying to gather people, companies, and organizations to join us and find a suitable place, by raising the money for the necessary building materials, as well as for food, medicine, and various other activities.
